Öğrenci Yurdu Odalarının Mekân Kalitesinin Kullanıcıların Fonksiyonel ve Algısal Performansı Üzerine Etkisi; Tahsin Banguoğlu Öğrenci Yurdu Örneği

Abstract

In this study, functional and sensual effects of performance evaluation on dormitory rooms 'interior characteristics and human-furniture density living (eight people) have been examined. The study focuses on the perceptual concentrations on the boarding girls and boys covering identical spatial features at Tahsin Banguo¤lu student dormitory rooms located in Ankara. For this purpose, architectural features and interior spatial characteristics within the context of users’ satisfaction, expectation and perceptual performance are measured by applying a detailed survey. Accordingly, it has been examined that in the case of dormitory rooms and their users a significant portion are not satisfied with the residential placement, human-furniture density and capacity of wardrobes. In such a way that; the crowding of bunk beds, cabinets, desks and chairs besides, shortage of large volume of a library, wardrobe and footwear. Furthermore, another finding is almost all users preferred to stay in a single, double and quadruple rooms rather than in the rooms with six and eight people.
