Mekan Üretiminde Toplam Kalite Yönetimi ve Mekan Tasarımı

Abstract

For many years, most of the architectural space design firms embrace quality as an important issue for them. They seek quality in their designs and professional services. Although importance of quality was known for many years, recents quality concepts differ from traditional approach. In conventional management quality control mechanism was precieved as a self defence mechanism. Main goal was to avoid liability and other unhappy consequances by catching and correcting errors. Today quality control idea was changed into concept of quality as an inherit characteristic of the firm. Continious improvement with total quality is the main goal. How should space design firms use total quality management is described in this article. With this approach the growing importance of the quality issue, principles of quality management and quality management in space design and measurements are discussed.
